Colour Crafter New colours

The ColourCrafter from Scheepjes has 30 new colours. Aren’t they great? I went straight to work with some of those colors.

First I made a shawl from Atty from Atty’s. The Candy shawl. The great thing about this shawl, is that you hardly have to weave in ends. It isn’t my favorite thing to do. They all get included with the fringe. Just perfect.

For this shawl I used; / Voor deze shawl heb ik gebruikt;

Sint Niklaas

Zutphen
Luik
Oostende
Knokke

I’m very happy with the result. What do you think?

Ik ben heel blij met het resultaat. Wat vind jij?

Next I used another beautiful pattern. This one is from Annelies from Vicarno. It is a gorgeous lace ruffled shawl. This one has also a great name and goes by ‘It’s aSunny Day shawl’.

For this shawl I used; / Hiervoor heb ik gebruikt;

Enschede

Sint Niklaas
Luik
Zutphen

but also 2 skeins of black/Kelly of Colour Crafter Velvet for the base.

I also love this shawl.

Here again all the colors which are availble in Colour Crafter.

Ella Scarf

It's a fine striped scarf, as you can expect from me. This yarn is such a joy to work with. It is soft and colors combine beautifully. The pattern of the scarf is pretty easy, but it is advisable to make a sample of a different yarn. The mohair is in fact not so easy to rip.

For this scarf you need / Je bent voor deze shawl nodig

4 skeins / bolletjes Mohair Rhythm and 4 skeins / bolletjes of Alpaca Rhythm;

Foxtrot
Hip Hop
Robotic
Quickstep

I let this know ahead, so you can choose the colors you like for this scarf. Because next week the pattern will be here and you can start right away. Maybe a Christmas gift for someone?

Sneak Peek

Here is the promised Sneak Peek

Hier is de beloofde Sneak Peek

But first my yarn choices. What do you think. I picked a soft pink, a plum, a dark and a light grey and they come in great names;
Foxtrot
Quickstep
Hip Hop
Robotic
And of course, I opted for Alpaca and Mohair, and I'm going to crochet with them single thread.

Maar eerst mijn garen keuzes. Wat denk jij. Ik koos een zacht roze, een pruim kleurige, een donkere en een licht grijze en ze komen in die geweldige namen;
Foxtrot
Quickstep
Hip hop
Robotic

And the sneak peek? Here it is and in a few days the reveal. Do you recognize it? Can you guess what it's going to be?

See you in a few days again and what is your favorite dance?

New project

I'm going to start a new project and I'm going to use this beautiful new yarn from Scheepjes. It comes in 2 variations. Alpaca Rhythm and Mohair Rhythm. There are 20 great colors and instead of a boring number, each color has a great name, like Merenque, Charlston, Hip Hop and Disco. Yes, they are all dance styles. How great is that?

The Alpaca Rhythm is made of 80% Alpaca, 20% Extra Fine Wool
and the Mohair Rhythm: 70% Mohair, 30% Microfiber

De Alpaca Rhythm is gemaakt van 80% Alpaca en 20% Extra
Fijne Wol en de Mohair Rhythm van 70% Mohair en 30% Microvezel

You can use them single thread or double, even combine the two together, because both have the same colors. And guess what, this yarn also comes with the very handy start label. I love that, specially with this lace yarn.

In a few days I'm going to show a Sneak Peek of what I'm making and which colors I choose.

Lotte shawl

And here she is. I am very happy with the result. The colors remind me of the beach and sea.

This is what she looks like when you crochet her in a solid color. Also beautiful, isn't she?

And here again the colors from which to choose.

Triangle or rectangle. What's it going to be?

Surprise, it's another shawl but not a triangle or rectangle. It will be a combination of the 2. How I'm going to do this? I'm going to show that next week, when the shawl is ready. Love for you to return next week for the reveal.

New crochet project

I'm going to start a new crochet project. This time I'm not going to tell what I'm going to make. It's going to be a surprise. What I do can tell is that I'm going to use Linen Soft from Scheepjes. And this yarn is soft, just as the name says. It is a fine combination of linen, cotton and acrylic. You can wash it in the machine at 40C.

The yarn comes in beautiful colors and I picked these 8 colors.

Will you visit me again next week? Then I'll show a little bit of what I'm working on.
