Knitted Zahra shawl

 A while ago I published the pattern of the Zahra shawl. You can find the pattern here Zhara

This shawl is crocheted, but I can imagine that your not able to crochet or you don't like doing it (What I really can't imagine, but ...)

 For it may be that you are a true knitter at heart. What should you do if you really like this pattern? I came up with the solution. I just made a knitting variation. And this is how it looks;

Want het kan zijn dat je in hart en nieren een echte breister bent. Wat moet je dan als je het patroon ook mooi vindt? Daar heb ik nu de oplossing voor. Ik heb het patroon nu ook in een brei variatie gemaakt. En dat is deze geworden;

For this shawl I also used the beautiful yarn from Scheepjes;
2 skein Invicta Colour 951
1 skein Invicta Extra 1347
1 skein Invicta Extra 1340
But you can also choose your own combinaties.

Voor deze shawl heb ik ook weer het mooie garen van Scheepjes gebruikt;
2 bollen Invicta Colour 951

I hope I made all the knitters happy and that you'll come back next week, because then the pattern will be available here.

Day out in Deventer

Yesterday I went out for a day with my mother and sister-in-law. We've been to Deventer, which is a great city. Very cozy, charming and super cute shops. I had printed out a city-walk but we never came around to follow that.

Leuke straatjes , leuke winkeltjes

Nice streets, cute shops

We also came across this little stamp-shop. Just stamps. So as a real knitter and crocheter, of course I had to buy a knitting and a crochet stamp. Also, I got a stamp with my name. It was a present of my sweet mom.

Of course I also had to go here, heaven on earth :)

Mijn nieuwe aanwinsten. Prachtig mooie zijde garen in super mooie kleurtjes.

My new acquisitions. Lovely silk yarn in gorgeous colors. A skein of sockyarn (but of course I'm going to make a shawl out of it) and I was almost out of Eucalan soap, so I brought a large bottle of it (lavender sent). You can soak your shawls in it and they get soft and smell delicious.

Dit lijkt me zo'n geweldige techniek.

Also, I've bought this book. Never too old to learn new things. This seems like such a great technique. It looks very complicated, but as Claudi has explained to me at the dol-op-wol store, it sounded pretty simple. We'll see if it's really that simple.

The day ended with a delicious meal on a sunny terrace. Doesn't that look yummy?

En wat hebben jullie gisteren gedaan?

And what did you do yesterday?

Reveal of the Zahra shawl

And here is the result. A fine large shawl. Lovely soft, warm colors, stripes and a little lace. And I love to name my shawls and she got the beautiful name of Zahra.

I hope you find this shawl as beautiful as I do. Next week I'll post the pattern, so I hope you return to visit my blog.

Tiny piece of the colorful wrap

Here are some detailed pictures of the shawl. It will be a lovely pattern. The yarns Invicta colour and Invicta extra of Scheepjes crochet delicious and I am happy with the sideway effects and the gradient of the colors.
Next week I will show you the entire shawl.

Colorful wrap

A new project and free pattern. It will be a shawl and I'm going to use Invicta Colour and Invicta Extra from Scheepjes. The Invicta Colour, because I find the colors amazing and they run into each other beautifully. I love working with this yarn and it really is not just fun for socks. Normally I crochet my triangle shawls from the top down or from the point upwards, but this time I want to make a shawl with the stripes vertical on the shawl. So I'll start on a side. Next week, I'll shown a glimpse how that probably will look like.
