Leftover yarns, what to do with them?

Last week I gave you the pattern of the 'dots and stripes' blanket, made with Colour Crafter Velvet from Scheepjes. When you make this blanket, you'll discover that when you are finished, you have leftovers. As you can see on the photo above. This is hardly unavoidable, but you can do fun stuff with those leftovers. What I did with them, I'll show you next week. I do hope you can knit?

Stripes, stripes, stripes!

I designed a new shrug. This fun striped one.

I used beautiful yarn from Scheepjes, Cotton 8. I love working with it. It is soft and comes in 48 great colors. It doesn't split and it washes well.

It is perfect for summer clothing for adults, children and baby's. You can use it for amigurumi's and blankets. I'm sure you can think of more possibilities.

This shrug comes in 5 sizes; S, M, L, XL and XXL

Deze bolero komt in 5 maten; S, M, L, XL en XXL

I used 5 colors for the shrug. Of each color you need 1 skein. Except for the sizes L, XL and XXL. For the main color you need 2 skeins.

New Colour Crafter Velvet Colors

Hello, it's been while that I wrote something. This time I'm going to show the new colors of ScheepjesColour Crafter Velvet. I love them so much, the new colors. I almost could not choose and have therefore decided to use 8 of the 12 new colors for my next project. But also three of the "old" colors. Which are after all still beautiful.

What I'm going to make, I will not tell yet. Next week, I'll show a little sneak peek. Will you come you back to see?

Colour Crafter New colours

The ColourCrafter from Scheepjes has 30 new colours. Aren’t they great? I went straight to work with some of those colors.

First I made a shawl from Atty from Atty’s. The Candy shawl. The great thing about this shawl, is that you hardly have to weave in ends. It isn’t my favorite thing to do. They all get included with the fringe. Just perfect.

For this shawl I used; / Voor deze shawl heb ik gebruikt;

Sint Niklaas

Zutphen
Luik
Oostende
Knokke

I’m very happy with the result. What do you think?

Ik ben heel blij met het resultaat. Wat vind jij?

Next I used another beautiful pattern. This one is from Annelies from Vicarno. It is a gorgeous lace ruffled shawl. This one has also a great name and goes by ‘It’s aSunny Day shawl’.

For this shawl I used; / Hiervoor heb ik gebruikt;

Enschede

Sint Niklaas
Luik
Zutphen

but also 2 skeins of black/Kelly of Colour Crafter Velvet for the base.

I also love this shawl.

Here again all the colors which are availble in Colour Crafter.

What are you making with the Colour Crafter? I love to see photo’s
